What is TAKRUT (TALISMAN)?

Takrut (talismans) is either made from a yellow or red cloth, copper, gold, lead or zinc foil written with magic characters, which the Thai language called “Yan”. After it has been blessed and rolled up with the magic spell, it is inserted into a tube. It is well-known in Thailand and Burma. Most of the Takruts are made by Masters who have been endorsed with the power of capabilities of making these takruts. People believe Takrut can protect them from enemies, danger and black magic, to induce good luck, wealth, relationships and fortune. People wear Takrut as pendant either single or together with a suitable number of other talismans or amulets and perhaps a total of three, five, seven or nine. Some put it into their shirt pocket, tie around their waist or just put it inside the hidden pockets. Master Tham specially makes the followings talismans. They have gone through many stages of prayers and mantras chanting.
